The general public can visit the Virginia Aquarium in Virginia Beach, VA during Coastal Trends Weekend to learn more about the trends affecting our coastal oceans. Mentoring Young Scientists and COSIA students create public displays based on Scientist-Educator Partnership research topics, creating broader impacts for scientists and disseminating coastal ocean science information to the public. Undergraduates and other program participants learn how to convey complex scientific concepts to informal audiences through Science Communication Courses.
